The Rickhouse & Full Steam Brewery in Durham NC

​If your planning a wedding in Durham NC then you've got to check out the Full Steam Brewery & The Rickhouse, a lovely new venue combination for cool photos in the heart of downtown.

I started my day photographing my client "J" and his groomsmen at the Full Steam Brewery. I was pleasantly surprised with the decor and interior design of the Full Steam, a place which is awesome for photos and for hanging out on a hot summer afternoon.

Bonus, you can even bring your dog while sipping a brew! 

After some fun photos were taken with the guys I headed on over to the Rickhouse to capture some photos of the bride "A" with her brides maids before the ceremony. 

This spacious facility can hold a crowd and boasts a wide open floor plan that gives you and your guests plenty of room to party! ​

In addition to the main hall there is a pretty patio -deck area that boasts a pretty cool view overlooking the original Durham Bulls stadium field.

My clients J & A were wed on the rear patio of the Rickhouse under silver cloudy skies that opened up to a heavy downpour as soon as the couple was ready to take their portraits.

Thank goodness that the patio is covered so we all stayed dry during the formal photo time even as the storm raged on throughout the next few hours.

The rest of the evening was spent photographing my clients with their friends and families dancing the night away. The party was loud and the crowd was having a blast which made for a fun night for me as I snapped off shot after shot.

My favorite part to photograph at any wedding is definitely the reception and this one did not disapoint. I am always in awe of people who can dance since I generally suck at it, haha! Its really a cool experiance to be able to photograph people who can throw the moves down and I hope that my photos show people how awesome the experience of just letting it go can be.
