In love, in Clinton North Carolina wedding photography

One of the best things about my job is being able to get to know my client's families.
There is a special family in Clinton NC who I first met a few years ago when I photographed their son's engagement and wedding.
The P. family includes many generations of farmers. They earn their living working off of the land that they love.

Mr. & Mrs. P are just the sweetest people and their two grown children are just as awesome as their parents. This entire family has got a warm and loving spirit that glows as bright as the evening sun setting over their wheat fields.
These are truly good people. Honest and hard working with big hearts to match.
As a bonus Mr.P has even let me fly my drone over his fields so that I could create this aerial photo painting, how cool is that?

When their daughter L. contacted me last year to see if I was available to be their engagement and wedding photographer I was so happy to be available on their wedding date!
We got together on a warm afternoon last November for L. and fiancé R.'s engagement shoot at the family's farm. It was really nice to spend time with R. and L. taking pictures and chatting about the wedding day to come. R. and L. are so completely made for each other, their engagement session was as laid back and lovely as could be.
R. is a musician so they thought that it would be a neat idea to include a few shots of him serenading L. while playing his guitar. So sweet!

This past January brought L.s bridal portrait session on the farm once more. We captured some beautiful photos of her in the house that she grew up in and a few special pics of her standing in a field with a couple huge tractors in the background for a portrait she intended to give to her Dad as a gift on her wedding day.
Even though it was a bit chilly outside,  L.'s smile never faded and the look on her mothers face when she saw her daughters portraits on my camera's preview screen was worth its weight in gold.

Fast forward now to this past April, R. & L.'s wedding day had finally arrived!
Their ceremony was held in the chapel of the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. Since I had done so much work with this family (and their friends!) in the past I felt right at home covering the wedding.
R. and L. tearfully exchanged their vows in front of all of their loved ones and friends and were greeted with joyful applause once their ceremony concluded.
Haha, I must have taken a zillion family formal portraits at this wedding! Normally this is kinda boring ( I prefer a more candid style ) but this time it was actually pretty fun capturing the posed pics. There were lots of happy faces to photograph in this crowd and I know that each person in these photos meant so much to the couple.

The evening hours waned on and after the bride and grooms couples portraits were taken at the church we headed down to their reception at the Lakewood Golf and Country Club in nearby Salemburg North Carolina.
  R. and L. arrived at the club in a  gorgeous classic car. They started their first dance and held each other close as they glided across the dance floor.
Surrounded by their families and friends R. and L. celebrated their wedding day with laughter and love. Their union is a warm reminder of what the best parts of life are really made of one the day two hearts became one.

Cheers to you R. & L. and to the entire P. family!
Thanks for allowing me to capture these, the happiest of years for all of you.
Your kindness and friendships mean more to me then you know.
  :)
