Wedding photography at a Private Estate and the Greensboro Arboretum

Now that the season is changing and the green is returning once more to the North Carolina landscape, I thought it would be a good time to revisit this gorgeous (and fun!) wedding day that I captured last year at a private estate and the Greensboro Arboretum.

My clients H& S are just the nicest folks who met each other while working overseas for the Peacecore. It's pretty awesome that they found one another from across the globe!  After photographing their heartfelt private ceremony at their church, we headed to the nearby Greensboro Arboretum for the formal portrait session.

The couples portraits were captured under a shaded live growing portico and on the adjacent emerald lawn under partly cloudy skies and with peeks of bright sunshine occasionally filtering through the leaves of the surrounding fauna. It was very very hot that afternoon so I really made an effort to get these photos done as quickly as possible so that H & S didn't melt, haha!

For their part, H & S appeared relaxed and happy despite the fact that it was in the upper 90's and the two of them were dressed in several layers. Love cures all, even oppressive NC heat waves, lol! Once the photos were taken the three of us headed back to our vehicles (and the AC!) to drive to the mansion where the reception would be held.

The reception was held at a private estate in Greensboro. The home was elegant and nearly large enough to accommodate every guest in attendance, however, the bulk of the reception activities were held outside under a giant white tent.

The party went well into the night. I stayed and took pictures until around 12 am photographing H & S dancing and having fun with their families and friends. It was still REALLY hot so ice cream and popsicles were served to cool everyone off on the dance floor.

There were countless opportunities for me to photograph some very special candid moments of the guests enjoying the party atmosphere that I ending up delivering over 2000 photos to H & S by the time the whole thing was done.

Honestly, the evening was just exactly the type of photography that I love to capture, bright colors and brighter smiles combined with great music and genuinely nice people.

:)

Congrats H & S!

Félicitations H & S et je vous remercie de me choisir pour être votre photographe de mariage. Dieu vous et votre mariage Bless!
