September and October have been busy and happy times here at Silvercord Event Photography as I have been blessed to cover two military homecoming reunions in the past few weeks. This type of photo work is an honor to capture.  Words can't express what it is like to be able to cover such amazing moments with my camera.... the love renders me speechless, so enjoy the pictures.

There are few moments in life that present one with an opportunity to really experience what true love looks like. The family bond of unbreakable trust and steadfast support is unmistakable on this soldiers face as he finally reunites with his family after a tour of duty overseas. To see a man go from warrior to Daddy in 5 seconds is pure poetry.

Congratulations to the U. family and thank you for your service to the United States.

Waiting.. "Here comes his plane" "There he is!!" At last!! Your really here. Finally face to face. Hugs from Daddy.

~ A military homecoming reunion between a soon to be husband and wife ~

My client A. contacted me asking about military photography and I was happy to hear that not only was her fiance retuning home soon but they will be married later this month!

We arrived early to Green Ramp at Ft. Bragg and stood outside the hanger as the sun rose casting a golden glow everywhere as far as the eye could see. Before long the announcement was made that "The plane was in sight". Time seemed to slow down as A. and I  awaited the troops march up the ramp.

At last he had come home and as I took photos of A. getting scooped into her fiance's arms, the smiles of relief and joy spread on their faces as radiant as any beam of sunlight that as filtering into the hanger.

My clients will be married in a few weeks, regrettably I am not available to cover their wedding :(

however, I will be taking a few pre wedding portraits next week since it appears that they will not have a professional wedding photographer at their wedding.

I can't wait to work with these kind folks again and I am eternally great full for the service of this brave man and his wife to be.

Thank you Mr. & (soon to be! ) Mrs. M !!
