The University Club in Durham, NC

I had the honor this past October to photograph a wedding at one of the not so hidden gems of Durham, the soaring glass tower of the University Club. What a view, inside and out!

I started the afternoon capturing a few photos of the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready along with her gorgeous shoes :)

After the bride was ready I quickly made my way to the ceremony spot to capture some photos of the groom as he anxiously waited for the ceremony to begin.

Once the ceremony was underway it became very dark in the room as a HUGE thunderstorm passed over. It was a little unnerving seeing the lightning just outside all of those windows but no matter how dark those clouds were the mood in the room was as bright as could be.

Right after the ceremony we headed outside to take the formal portraits. Despite getting stuck with the wedding party in the elevator for about 15 mins ( yikes!) and dodging intermittent raindrops all went well. :)

The rest of the evening was spent capturing these families celebrating the newlywed couple with my Canon as they danced the night away. This is what it is all about, food, family and fun!
