St. Francis of Assisi + The Garden on Millbrook

Capturing beautiful wedding photography

from the heart of Raleigh

A few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing a lovely wedding at St.Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Raleigh NC for my clients B & E. 

Though it was somewhat challenging to photograph the ceremony due to the restrictions put forth by the church for wedding photography (no on or off camera flash is permitted and I was not allowed to move around the church) my heart was set at ease with all of the natural light flowing through the windows thus allowing me to capture some beautiful moments between B & E as they shared their vows.

My clients and I arrived early to to the reception which was held at the Garden on Millbrook and thankfully the rain stopped so we decided to grab a few extra couples portraits out front of the venue before the couple was to be introduced. 

B & E's  reception at the Garden on Millbrook was a blast to photograph! So many happy people laughing and dancing!

* By the way, I highly recommend having the Garden on Millbrook cater your wedding as their cuisine is quite delicious. I normally don't eat while working unless my clients insist ( nope you don't have to feed me, but thank you!) but I have to say that I was sooo glad that I made an exception for this one.

After all was said and done B & E ended the day by exiting through a tunnel of handheld sparklers, always fun to capture if not a wee bit scary, haha!
