There is a special kind of magic in the air during late June here in North Carolina. The way that sunlight seems to dance and sparkle as it reflects off of the water of a lazy river.
The buzz of cicadas and the songs of wood thrushes lay the soundtrack of summertime in the woods, while busy squirrels play in the branches and boughs of towering emerald oaks.

A short time ago I had the opportunity to capture B & A's engagement session at Westpoint on Eno Park just outside the city of Durham N.C.
Being a photographer who specializes in outdoor weddings and engagements means this gorgeous photo session location request was right up my alley!

I absolutely love it when my couples ask to hold their engagement session somewhere that means the most to them. As it turned out, Westpoint Park is a special place to A., who had spent his childhood swimming and playing on the shores of the Eno River at this very spot here in the park.
So many of his happiest memories were made here and he wanted to share that experience with his fiance B., how sweet is that!?
