Finally autumn has arrived! This lovely glow of a setting October sun, crisp air, and brightly covered leaves ushers in my favorite time of the year to photograph weddings.  

This wedding day at the Simply Divine Bed and Breakfast venue in Dunn, North Carolina was... well... divine, haha! What an absolute joy to photograph this sweet couple as they celebrated their day with their closest family members. Though the guest list for this intimate wedding was small, the opportunities for capturing gorgeous portraits was unlimited in scope thanks to a lovely combination of a beautiful sunset and a great mix of sunny personalities.

As a few of my longtime readers know, I love photographing "small weddings" because generally speaking, I think that the smaller the crowd the better the candid photos end up being because most of the time the guests know each other well and are more likely to relax and interact with one another during the reception ( as opposed to keeping their eyes glued to their smartphones, lol) thus yielding memorable candid photos. This wedding photography collection illustrates this concept perfectly.
