I love gorgeous portraits with that sweet blurry background effect known as bokeh. This shallow depth of field style element is a hallmark of fine art portrait photography which is incorporated to draw the most attention possible to the subject in the frame. That being said, sometimes it's fun to do something different than what is expected to see what develops.
These photos were captured in a fog-filled forest in Craggy Gardens NC a few weeks ago at Andrey and Kristina's wedding. The atmosphere was simply magical and so I thought that it would be a great opportunity to take some portraits at higher apertures ( around f8.0 or higher) so that I'd be able to convey the mood of this glorious place in greater "big picture" detail.
