One of the best parts about living here in NC is enjoying nearly 11 months a great weather for taking photos outside. The winters are pretty mild for the most part (except for late January & early February when it actually gets very cold for a week or two), spring and autumn are quite lovely, and the summers, ahhh the summer, is simply divine. 

Last week I had the pleasure of spending the evening with my clients B & L photographing their summer engagement photography session at the JC Raulston Arboretum. This arboretum is (in my opinion) the best place to photograph an engagement portrait session in the Triangle. We started our shoot at 7pm to take advantage of the soft evening sunlight and cooler temperatures. The weather was perfect and that light was just right! We had an excellent time chatting and getting to know one another as I took pictures of the two of them a-washed in that soft emerald light as it filtered in through the leaves of all of the trees. The love shared between this sweet couple is undeniable, the attraction just electric.
