Dina and Josh's engagement session in downtown Raleigh was just awesome and I’m absolutely in love with everything about this sweet couples story.

Josh immigrated to the United States from India when he was a teenager. He’s got a great sense of humor and has that sharp as a tack intellect which I enjoy interacting with so much.
He’s also an IT professional (shout out to my info sec peeps!) & a photographer which is pretty damn cool too :)

Dina immigrated here in 2012, speaks 4 languages, and serves in the US ARMY! 
She’s smart & decisive and had the nicest smile with a warm personality to match.

The cherry on top is that Josh & Dina will be getting married in Manassas VA this summer which means I’ll get the chance to visit Northern VA (always will remain my home) to photograph their wedding :)

I loved hearing their recollections of their respective journeys from the other side of the world.
It’s interesting to hear their stories and to learn what motivated them to come live here in the US. This stuff hits home for me personally because half my family immigrated from Italy and the other half of my family is descended from two US presidents, one of which actually signed the Declaration of Independence.
Their story, is my story.
In many ways it’s our American story.
Love is the thing that knits us together as a Nation, no matter where you’re from.
