Picked up my camera this morning and shot random things around my house, just ‘cause :)

Speaking of randomness, here are some facts about me that haven't been listed on my website until today...
 

HOME March 6th 2019-16

* I take a very light touch when it comes to editing photos and haven’t use Photoshop regularly in five years. This is because I believe that it’s my job to capture people and their surroundings in an honest manner without adding any extra fake elements into their photos. My style is neither light and airy or dark and moody. I strive for real colors, real emotions and candid moments.

* At my peak of “extraness” I had 14 piercings and 3 tattoos. 
Now that I’m a Mom, I’m down to just 7 piercings (ears).
The tattoos of course remain. 
No regrets about a single one ;)

* I think that it is ridiculous that very few people are printing their photos anymore. Photographs are powerful things who’s true value sadly may not be realized until that’s is all someone has left.
Memories fade and hard drives crash. I wish more people would cherish the fleeting moments by bringing them into the tangible world rather then glance at them with a swipe of a finger.
 

* I believe that Quantitative easing is irresponsible monetary policy and that our country’s National debt of $22,104,732,285,367 is ultimately unsustainable.

* I absolutely love my job and the couples that I’ve been blessed to serve over the past decade. Getting to know them and their families has been the best thing that ever happened to me other then the time I get to spend with my own family.
Having photographed over 400 weddings has given me a unique perspective on American life and I wish that everyone could understand that no matter our religion, race or occupation, we have far more in common with one another than what the media tells us.
