I’ve had an amazing lazy day with my family. We played games throughout most of the afternoon and just finished a delicious dinner together (a rare thing considering it’s Saturday when I’m usually working ). I’m finally relaxing and getting used to the rhythm and flow to the off season and am relishing these weekends here at home. Ya, I still have work to do but since it’s not shooting related, it can wait until Monday. Lol, this is a big mind shift for me because I’d definitely describe myself as a workaholic. Tbh, I am addicted to my job and to figuring out how to overcome all the challenges that come my way. Running a business is like constantly working on a puzzle who’s pieces change color every so often. Sometimes frustrating but mostly its kinda awesome :) The thing is, my family comes first, so although it’s easy for me to get sucked into the day to day grind of my work life, time with my sweet kiddos and my dear husband is all that I’m ever truly looking forward to when the day is done. . This portrait was taken at Snipes Farm in Chapel Hill. It is the perfect example of the types of couples that I love to work with. Fun loving, open hearted and just as excited to get gorgeous pictures on their wedding day as I am. I love it when people are cool with just being themselves :) . The next pic was taken at a random home garden in Fuquay-Varina. It’s a decorative cabbage leaf with some rain drops inside.
