Colorado on my mind

I’ve been thinking about planning another trip out to Colorado soon. I just can’t shake this longing for the high country. Tbh, I have been chasing the mountain life since I was a kid. Growing up in the D.C. area, within two hours of Shenandoah National Park, I spent most of my free time hiking and exploring the trails in search of wildlife and epic views. Then I found my way out to the Rockies and fell in love with the granite, the Aspens and the lovely people that I met along the way. Till then, I’m content with the soft rolling peaks of the Appalacian mountains. This is why I enjoy photographing weddings in the Asheville area so much. It almost feels like going home... This wedding portrait was captured on the Craggy Pinnacle trail during a tropical storm a few months ago. This sweet couple asked me if I was ok with the whole idea, lol, I’m like yes, x1000! The second pic is of a little critter called a Marmot. He was being lazy in the middle of a gravel road at 12K feet near the Alpine Visitors Center in Rocky Mountain National Park. The road was basically a one way goat path. I actually got out of the car to shoo him out of the way because I did not want to run him over.
