It's okay to be who you are on your wedding day

As someone who got married right after having her first child, I was feeling all sorts of uncomfortable in my own skin on my wedding day... I’ve changed though. The following paragraphs were posted on Reddit this morning and it’s a great description of how I feel today. . . . 💍 “It's okay to get married how you are. You don't have to lose weight. You don't have to straighten your hair, or curl it, or get extensions. You don't have to get a facial or a tan. You don't have to wear a white dress, or even a dress at all. You don't have to take dance lessons or learn modeling techniques. Of course, if you want to do any of the above, that's wonderful! But the pressure from ads, from forums, from vendors, and even from friends/family can be crazy and it's easy to get caught up in it and think that you have to be skinnier, or have better skin, or have your hair a certain way to "look like a bride". . It's okay to be who you are on your wedding day. It's okay to be a fat bride, or a groom who has acne, or a bride who doesn't wear dresses. The bridal blog’s version of perfect doesn't matter.... If someone agreed to marry you, you're probably perfect in their eyes.” :) . . . . #realweddingsnc #documentarystyleweddingphotographernc #documentarystyleweddingphotographync #Ashevilleweddingphotographer #Ashevilleweddingphotography #ncweddingphotographer #asheville #silvercordeventphotography #ncweddingphotographer #realcolors #timelessweddingphotos #eternalwedding #naturalcolorweddingphotography #candidstyleweddingphotos #thenatureofweddingphotography #weddingphotography #blueridgeparkway #blueridgemountains #ncoutdoors
