Wow what a week it has been... Lots of changes in such a short time. With the arrival of the Corona Virus / Covid-19, Brides and Grooms across the state of North Carolina are having to adjust their wedding plans to changing laws regarding limits on the numbers of guests and requirements for safe social distancing. To deal with this challenge, many couples are opting to hold their weddings outdoors at our local parks or even in their own backyard. Since I am a wedding photographer who exclusively specializes in photographing outdoor and backyard weddings, I thought that now would be a great time to share some helpful tips that I have learned over the years with you. So, over the next few weeks keep an eye out for some helpful info that you may find useful in the coming months if you’re planning (or re-planning) your wedding. Here’s tip no.1 Getting started... Do you or someone that you know have a backyard big enough and attractive enough for your wedding? To answer this, you must think about the number of people on your guest list and about what type of wedding reception you would like to have. Chances are if your wedding will be held in the next couple of months, your guest list may be smaller than you might have originally planned for. That is ok! Intimate weddings are lovely and are quite beautiful in most any outdoor setting. Do you picture having a plated dinner or a buffet afterwards? Hors-d'oeuvres and cocktail bar or grilled NC BBQ? Will you also be hosting your wedding ceremony in the backyard, or just the reception party? You might need just a little more space if you’re hosting both. . . . #raleighweddingphotographer #durhamweddingphotography #winstonsalemweddingphotographer #caryncweddingphotographer #ncweddingphotography #hollyspringsweddingphotography #silvercordeventphotography #backyardweddings #weddingphotos #wilmingtonweddingphotographer #chapelhillweddingphotographer #ncweddings #northcarolinaweddingphotogapher #2020engaged #2020bride #ashevilleweddingphotographer #fuquayvarinaweddingphotographer #booneweddingphotographer #backyardweddingphotographer #obxweddingphotographer #outdoorwedding #backyardwedding #backyardweddingplan
