What I've been up to this spring since wedding season has been postponed here in N.C.

If you see less of me,

I'm doing more.

Of this.

This year has been interesting to say the least! As a North Carolina wedding photographer, it's been kind of a tough adjustment to the fact that I won't be able to photograph a wedding until August. Although I have covered a few elopements this year, most of my sweet couples have decided to reschedule their 2020 spring and summer wedding dates to this autumn. Thus, my work day's are looking a whole lot different around here at Silvercord.

Thankfully, I have been going out into the woods nearly every day with my cameras. As you probably can tell by checking out this website, I LOVE the outdoors. Heck, that's the reason why I specialize in photographing outdoor weddings! I especially enjoy the pursuit of birding. Kind of like a nerdy treasure hunt, it's a lot of fun to combine my love of photography with the travel that's required to go see the unique birds here in N.C. In fact, I enjoy looking for birds so much that I started a small birding tour company & media website called Birdwatching N.C. which has been keeping me very busy even though wedding season is more or less postponed. This is how I have been staying positive and focused even though my world has been turned upside down :)

I will continue to update the Blog here at Silvercord Event Photography as best I can over the next few months but I may not be able to post quite as often. It's just that it's a little difficult to come up with new wedding related content when I'm not able to photograph weddings as often as I normally do. We will see though, lol!

In the meantime if you're looking for a wedding photographer who will cover your day beautifully, I am still here! I am more that willing to travel anywhere you'd like to get the portraits that will mean the most to you. I'm currently accepting last minute bookings for this summer and since I shoot with a zoom lens, am perfectly happy to photograph your wedding day, indoors and (especially) outdoors. Feel free to check out my wedding photography prices here and shoot me a message if you have any questions!

BTW, if you'd like to take a break from the stress of the current day, come birding with me! Bring your camera and your happy heart and we will find some cool stuff together! Heck, if you don't have a camera, let me know. I may be able to help you out with a loaner on the day. I've got quite a few trips planned for this summer with more dates being added every week throughout the year. Take note, each of these tour dates fall on a weekday (as not to interfere with my weekend availability for photographing weddings) so you may have to ditch work for a day to come with me, haha! Trust me, it's worth it :)
