A lovely wedding day spent in downtown Durham North Carolina...

My clients M & S chose the historic First Presbyterian Church located in the heart of downtown Durham North Carolina to hold their wedding. I arrived early and managed to snap off a few photos of the groom and his groomsmen in the from garden area. S. was all smiles and not a bit nervous :)

Although this church had a strict no flash rule during the ceremony it was a breeze to capture the shots clearly with the tripod and my cameras set to a medium- high ISO. The colorful stained glass and lovely red and gold tones of the church lent itself for a warm cozy feeling as my clients stated their vows and upon completion the entire hall echoed in applause.

After the ceremony we took to the streets of Durham for a couple quick wedding party group shots. *Special shout out to the patient drivers downtown that day for not running us over, lol!

Though the sun was setting quickly there was still time for the couples portraits session which were captured just outside my clients downtown Durham reception venue, The Durham Armory.
The reception at the Durham Armory was so much fun to photograph as my clients and their guests partied on well into the evening. So many happy folks made my job easy when finding those smiles :)
