Fall is my absolute favorite time year to capture engagement photography for my clients here in the Raleigh NC area. With the fiery orange and yellow tones of warm filtered light through the leaves it's hard to argue that there isn't something magical about the glow of a late November autumn evening in North Carolina. My clients A & L wanted to include their dogs in their photos so we chose to hold the engagement photography session at at Harris Lake Park in New Hill NC as the is one of the few local park locations that allows dogs on site.
We got started at 3:30 pm just as the late afternoon light was turning from blue to various shades of gold. A & L's bright smiles were lit more brilliantly then the sun and it was so much fun to hang out with them and their puppies as we travelled about the park in search of pretty backdrops to include in their portraits.
We ended up finishing our session next the lake itself with A & L sharing a romantic moment by the shore as the sun set below the hills. Though the breeze was turing a bit chilly my clients were in great spirits and offered warm smiles as I snapped off the last few shots before the sun disappeared for the evening.
