I love exploring new places with my photography clients. We found this pretty doorway in downtown Washington NC while walking together on our way to the waterfront. The lighting was subdued and that un-conventionally toned pink paint looked lovely against the reflection of the red brick wall in the glass behind the couple. This week I posted a question on Reddit and my website’s blog asking couples “What was their biggest challenge was when trying to find their dream wedding photographer?” *Is there such a thing as TMI when it comes to the personal bio message or blog posts shown on the photographers website. If you love the photos in their portfolio, do you care what your photog is into when their not working? (hobbies, food movies, memes ect.) * What can wedding photographers do better when explaining the price and features of their service packages on their websites? * Are you off-put by the constant game of photogs automatically opting you in to a relentless email marketing campaign once you make a first inquiry? (Auto respond emails, chat bots, unrequested PDFs of “helpful tips” ect.) * What is the number one thing that is a real pain point in the process of deciding on your wedding photographer? The top answers included pricing visibility, clarity of packages offerings, faster gallery load times and a need for wedding photographers to show more Ceremony pictures in their portfolio’s. It was really neat to get this perspective of the wedding business from the other side of the lens! Using this feedback, I’ve made some changes to my own website this week to best serve my clients in a meaningful way. 💕 What about you?
