In the age of A.I., do authentically captured photographs even matter to anyone?
Feels like the value of deliverable (straight out of the camera) SOC RAW photo files and film prints just bumped after reading this.

I think that the commercial (industry) value of images is about to change for sure. I wonder though, is there going to be an impact on the value of an “authentic-non-manipulated-soc” image when this tech goes mainstream in advertising? Will the general public place value in what’s real? Another way to think about this question is, what will happen to people’s perceptions of photography as a whole if a good portion of what they are exposed to on a daily basis is AI generated. Especially since the AI aesthetic will be carefully curated by creators to serve certain markets needs.
