So, I don’t know if I’ve ever posted something like this... I wanted to tell you guys that I freakin love you.

I had a particularly great time yesterday shooting the wedding at The Farm in Selma. Reflecting on the day’s events I had this overwhelming feeling of knowing that I was in exactly the right place at the right time. Not because of the location (pretty) not was it the fact that the venue was an “easy place to shoot” (indoor venue with even lighting) but because of the people and the families that I got to spend time with......

*Mother of the bride & groom are both retired Military

*Bride is studying science & the Arts

*Dad of Bride is a Rick & Morty Fan

*Great reception music w/dancing

*The couple invited Santa Clause and his Great Dane dog to the reception

*Bride is an animal lover

*Groom and Bride are music lovers

*Groom and his crew were hamming it up for the photos

 * I got to help them out by cutting and serving their wedding cake to their guests (they didn’t have any servers) and the bride & groom appreciated the extra effort

* Lots of laughter and hugs to go around during the reception made my job getting candid photos 1000 times easier!

All of those are reasons why I LOVE MY JOB. Or rather these are the people and personalities that make me love what I get to do.

Tbh, I’m a news junkie who reads a ton of awful shit going on all around the world every week so it’s such a wonderful thing to spend time with good people on one of the happiest days of their lives. Ya, I know it sounds cliché but honestly you all give me hope in humanity as a whole. It is such a joy for me to get to spend time with you. I love being present as you take your first steps as husband and wife, starting this new life where two become one. Such an incredibly uplifting experience!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me to your wedding photographer. You’ve got no idea how much you’ve changed my life for the better and I appreciate it more than you could ever know.
