My clients M & K wanted to hold their engagement session in the woods to complement their wedding photos which will take place in Lake Lure North Carolina next May, so I suggested that we head out to Harris Lake Park in New Hill NC (just outside of Raleigh). They also wanted to bring their three dogs with them and since Harris Lake is a dog friendly park, it fit their request perfectly!

You might ask, how did I manage to get all three of these pups to look at my camera at the same time? Well, lets just say that it involves me making cat noises to capture their attention, haha!

Although the pond was covered in duckweed (as per usual this time of year) it actually looked pretty in the portraits.

After capturing a few portraits around the pond, M&K and their dog's went for a walk in the woods together. The shade provided by an emerald canopy was a welcome relief as it was well into the 90's by now even though it was only about 9:30 in the morning.

Summer engagement sessions are always something that I look forward to every year, especially when it's the chance to spend time with fellow animal lovers like these two.
