One of the things that a few couples may forget to consider when searching for their wedding photographer is to check out the photographs of the receptions in the photographers portfolio. This is a mistake because reception photos take up to 70% to a image delivery and many photographers simply don't show these types of images in their public galleries. It is vitally important to check and see if your chosen photographer can handle taking pictures in dimly lit conditions such as barns, dark venues or outdoors after the sun goes down. Understand that the difference between a "natural light photographer" and a professional wedding photographer is clearly shown in the types of properly exposed photographs using a flash (or not) indoors after dark. An experienced shooter should be able to show you beautiful images captured in every lighting condition imaginable, including indoors.

I'm known as an outdoor wedding photographer but this dose not mean I can't take gorgeous indoor reception photos too! I am perfectly comfortable capturing portraits indoors using a flash or available light. I especially love getting those not-to-be-missed candid moments during a reception. Fun stuff!
