Raleigh Wedding photography at the River Ridge Golf Club

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to photograph Kayla and Ryan's wedding day in Raleigh North Carolina...

My afternoon began by taking their prep pictures at the church (Ebenezer Church) and at the couples reception venue (the River Ridge Golf Club). It was really cool to spend time with Ryan and Kayla and all of their friends as they primped and preened amid the bustle of shopping bags and afternoon toasts.

Their ceremony was held at the family church and was just the sweetest thing ever! Kayla caught a case of the giggles while she was delivering her vows much to the delight of their guests watching form the pews :) The more she started laughing, the bigger Ryan's smile became which of course just melted everyones hearts. Finally she got through it, they lit a unity candle and the deal was sealed with a kiss. I had to hustle backwards down the aisle to catch them when they exited the church for the first time as husband and wife. I'm super happy that I made it because they shared an epic "just married kiss" right out front of the church, just awesome!

After taking Kayla and Ryans family photos at the church, we all drove to The River Ridge Golf Club and met back up with their wedding party to grab group shots out on the greens. What a fun group! Once the wedding party pictures were completed, we still had about 25 minutes or so left until their reception began, so the couple and I captured a few beautiful portraits of just the two of them enjoying some quiet moments together.

The reception was held under a giant event tent on the deck at River Ridge. What a great place to hold a party! That tent provided the perfect lighting conditions as I was able to bounce the light from my flash off of the walls and ceilings in a pleasing way that ended up looking pretty cool in the photos. The mood throughout the evening was cheery and there wasn't a moment during the entire reception where someone wasn't laughing or having a great time. This made my job super easy when it came to capturing those good-good candid pics.

Ryan and Kayla ended their day with a sparkler send off, another epic kiss, a ton of hugs with family and friends and a ride in a white limo. The perfect ending to a lovely day!
