Staying sharp

One of the things I’m particularly concerned with when it comes to wedding photography is proper color renditioning. I prefer to deliver my clients photographs that reflect the true-to-life colors of their day vs. overlaying color altering filters on their images. No matter if I’m using a flash during the reception or natural light during portrait time, it would be fair to say that #natureismyaesthetic lol! This is why both my wildlife & wedding photography portfolios look similar in color tones and hues. My shooting style and love of nature is a big reason why I specialize in capturing outdoor weddings. Simply put, spending time outside its what I love to do when holding a camera :) By the way, I’ve been keeping busy this winter too! If you’re into birds, check out what I’m up to over at my other feed @birdwatching_nc This is a great way to see what I mean when I talk about the color consistency reflected in my over all work if you were to compare the two portfolios. Birdnerd info: These little ones are called Ruby-crowned Kinglets. They spend the winter here in North Carolina and become as common as sparrows around here when the weather gets cold. They are quite challenging to photograph from a distance because they are very tiny (smaller then a Chickadee) and they are always moving. Fast! Getting decent shots of birds like this is how I keep my photographic skills sharp in between weddings. The thought is if I can manage to get in focus high speed shots of birds like these in weird lighting, weddings are easy by comparison lol! To this day, I’ve never missed that first kiss at the alter and I give full credit to that accuracy coming from mornings taking pics of skittish wildlife. . . . . . #raleighweddingphotographer #raleighweddingphotography #weddingphotographer #canon5ds #canonwedding #ncweddingphotography #raleigh #silvercordeventphotography #weddingphotography #weddingphotos #ncweddingphotographer #weddinginspiration #ncweddings #northcarolinaweddingphotogapher #2019engaged #2020bride #raleighweddingphotos #raleighwedding #lovebirdsluvbirds #birdwatchingnc #outdoorwedding #outdoorweddingphotographer #outdoorweddings #outdoorweddinginspiration
