One of my favorite backyard weddings was captured at Ryan and Patricia's family's home in Pinehurst North Carolina. I arrived early to photograph Patricia getting ready with her bridesmaids. The vibe was laid back and cheerful as I captured the minutes leading up to the wedding.

Their ceremony was absolutely the sweetest thing ever as Ryan held their daughter in his arms as they exchanged vows. Such a lovely thing to see :)

Once the ceremony was complete, the couple and grabbed a few couples portraits on their boat before joining their guests for celebrating in a great big tent in the backyard.

It was warm that evening, but the breeze was cool coming off of the lake and everyone was happy with a cold drink in hand. Ryan and Patricia shared their first dance on the outdoor dance floor and kept right at it on light strewn deck. Toasts were given and happy hugs were everywhere as the family and friends enjoyed the evening reception with the couple.
