The best part about being a wedding photographer is without a doubt, the wonderful couples I get to work with throughout the year.
Getting to know them, to help plan their day and then, to be there to capture it all is such a joy!
With the challenges imposed by the impact of Covid-19, planning a wedding can be kind of tough.
The gathering restrictions and the temporary closure of many traditional wedding venues has left a lot of us feeling unsure about the future ahead.
Not all of us though...
Thankfully, couples like Sharon & Randy are still getting married on their original wedding dates. Albeit, their wedding day ended up looking a lot differently than they had originally planned for lol!
That’s ok though.
They were married over a Zoom call at a community park in Knightdale while their friends and family logged on to watch the livestream.
I was there to capture it all (at a safe distance using a long lens) and could not be happier to have been there for them in those moments.

In a few months when the lockdowns are lifted, I’ll be traveling out to the mountains to photograph Randy and Sharon again when they hold their big traditional wedding ceremony and reception at their incredible venue.
It will be wonderful to be back out west, taking pictures someplace epically gorgeous but to be honest, what really matters the most right now is happening right here at home, online and in our own backyards and local parks.
And that is a beautiful thing!
