A day of wedding photography at the Highgrove Estate in Fuquay Varina N.C.

Recently I had the honor of photographing Cam and Kara’s wedding day at the beautiful Highgrove Estate in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.
After a long & uncertain summer, it was absolutely wonderful to get back to doing what I love for people in love :)

My second shooter and I arrived in the mid afternoon and got started capturing the couple getting ready for their ceremony with their wedding parties. The mood was relaxed and happy as we got to work.
There was plenty of time to get some candid photos of the happy moments shared between the couple and their friends as well as grabbing a few detail shots of the pretty things :)

Before to long, it was time for the ceremony to start. The weather was perfect, not to hot or cold and the lighting was nice as the sun slipped lower into the sky.
Cam and Kara’s wedding was lovely!
Starting with the tears running down Cam’s face when he first saw Kara coming up the aisle, their heartfelt ceremony was filled with emotion thus leading to some uniquely beautiful moments shared between the couple.

Once their ceremony had concluded, we grabbed some family and wedding party group photos before capturing the couples romantic portraits on the wide green lawn at the back of the venue.
These two were absolutely as sweet as could be and the way that they looked at one another melted my heart. What an absolute joy it was to be there in those moments to capture the way that they felt for one another, side by side taking their first steps together as husband and wife!

Kara & Cameron’s wedding reception was blast to photograph! Everyone was in high spirits & having fun which made my job easy as could be. Hardly anyone spent to night staring at their phones opting instead to talk and dance with one another. Lol, these days that’s becoming somewhat of a rarity, even at a reception party!
It was really nice to be out there snapping off shots on the dance floor amid all of these wonderful happy people. So much light, color and movement all set to a loud beat, mixed with laughter with the scent of flambé doughnuts from the dessert bar wafting through the air.

At the end of the night, I left feeling profoundly grateful for my job and thankful for the joyful experiences I got to capture for Cam, Kara and their families. It’s not every day that people find a love like the one they share. I’m so glad that I got to be the one to document the day that their two lives became one.
