So, a few years ago I discovered that I have a talent for building custom Zenfolio websites that specifically are designed with SEO in mind. I've been acting admin for two Zen sites and both consistently rank on page 1 in their respective markets with little or no weekly work.

I'm curious to see if I can replicate the success of my first two sites and am now building a third, so, just for fun I have decided to document how many days it will take for my newest Zenfolio website to go from a zero ranking on Google to page one.

DAY 1

* Signed up for a new Zenfolio account

* Added images for the portfolio

* Entered my About information,

* Created one custom page for my pricing info

* Wrote out the Blog Welcome message.

* Wrote the description copy for the site in the Search Engine Optimization tab and copied and pasted that information directly into the Home Page Welcome Message details. THIS IS LITERALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT (and easiest!) THING YOU CAN DO TO IMPROVE YOUR WEBSITES SEARCH RANKINGS USING THE ZENFOLIO PLATFORM.

My prediction is that I should be able to get this new website to rank on page one of Google for the search term "Asheville Wedding Photography" within 45 days. Lol, tbh I might fail spectacularly, but hey, it's the off season and I am always looking to take on new challenges this time of year so why not give it a go? The best part is tha if I succeed, that means that I get to travel out to the mountains more often for weddings (yay!) and I'll be providing some help to some of my fellow Zenfolio users out there who can benifit from the information.

Over the next month, I'll try to post regular updates on my workflow with this project going forward and will do my best to provide you with some insight on how I expect to achieve this goal.
