Wedding photography off-season

Happy Monday! Greetings from my new office space. Finally have got a designated place to get work done, yay! So this wintertime “wedding photography off season” has been quite busy around here. As you may know, when I’m not photographing weddings, I try to spend as little time as possible inside at my desk (happy as I am to have it lol) so I’ve been outdoors taking photos every week of all kinds of wildlife. In related news, my passion project over at Birdwatchingnc.com is going well with the release of my spring guided birding tours schedule. For now, I’m mainly concentrating on short local trips here in the Triangle but will be adding tour dates in other regions soon. By the way, if you’ve ever dreamed of taking an epic photo trip to Alaska to photograph Eagles, bears and whales, (like me!) go follow my freind Greg Piper at @alaskaphototravel He’s a world renowned photographer who’s got a really cool trip lined up for this summer called the “Water and Wings Tour” It’s a rare opportunity to photograph the wildlife of Alaska with a talented National Geographic photographer. You can see more examples of his exceptional photo work at @gregpiperarts Lastly, this month marks the start of my relationship with the US ARMY Corps of Engineers monitoring Bald Eagle nests at Jordan Lake in Apex, NC. My duties will be to provide behavioral data collection and mapping services for the ARMY. This past week’s highlight was that I’ve discovered a previously un reported nesting site which is pretty damn awesome!
