~ A wedding reception at Clifton Virginia's Trummer's on Main ~

 I was so happy when my clients T & M contacted me to cover their wedding in northern Virginia since this is my home town area. Imagine my surprise when they told me that they would hold their reception in good old Clifton VA, a place where I would go horseback riding downtown as a child. I had even been to their reception venue when I was a kid so I had no problems getting around that day despite currently residing in central NC.

After the ceremony we had a quick portrait session downtown Clifton on the train tracks and then headed inside Trummer's for the party.

Clifton Virginia's crown jewel, Trummer's on Main. http://trummersonmain.com/  is an amazing place to hold a wedding or reception!

The food was outstanding  ( seriously, YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE!!) and the service was impeccable. I found that the bar staff was friendly ( made me a delicious non alcoholic drink that was like a sweet grapefruit and orange concoction party in a glass) and the hostess was very sweet and accommodating to all of the guests in attendance ( I later found out that this was her first night on the job, hope that her boss knows that he made a good decision in hiring her) .

My clients hired Dealers Choice Casino's out of Frederick MD to bring in a few craps tables, roulette tables as well as tables for 21 and Texas Hold 'Em Poker. Having the opportunity to photograph wedding guests having fun "gambling" with play money was great! Loved the drama of the Texas Hold "Em table, the looks on the faces of the players said it all. The staff at Dealers choice were very professional and really brought that Vegas style to VA.

 I am so blessed to be able to have a job where I get to travel far and wide and see our great country, even when the road leads me back to my roots I can most assuredly say that one can indeed go home again, I have the pictures to prove it!
