One of the perks of being a NC wedding photographer is that I am often asked to travel throughout our beautiful state. It is a wonderful thing to live somewhere with such a varied scenery and distinct local flavor. Emerald Isle is a small island that still maintains a small-town feel despite its growing population and numerous modern amenities. With its wide sandy beaches and beautiful coastal forests its a beautiful gem indeed.

My clients M & E were wed on the porch of a beautiful beach house nestled behind the dunes beside the Atlantic ocean. Though it was a cloudy day the smiles shared between the couple and their families brightened up even the darkest of clouds that rolled in over the beach. 

After a touching ceremony awe headed down onto the beach for the formal wedding party & couples portrait session. The surf was pounding and the wind was fierce at times but we managed to capture some fun & romantic moments before the rain arrived. 

The reception party went well into the wee hours of the night and was held under a large event tent on the back lawn of the property. It was a loud and boisterous crowd and by the end of the night there wasn't a guest to be found hat wasn't on the dance floor. At one point the cops were even called (because of the noise) lol, but luckily the Emerald Isle police were quite understanding and even wished the happy couple all the best on their amazing wedding day.
