How many lives have been changed by the paths that they choose during ones college years? My clients C & M story started on the campus of NC State 4 years ago and so they asked if we could go there to capture their engagement photos. I happily agreed since I think thats its particularly awesome when folks want to have their portraits taken at a spot that hold special meaning to them. Its like going back in time while simultaneously adding to the pages of a new chapter in their book of memories.
We met at the Memorial Bell Tower first and snapped off a few colorful shots as the sun came up behind us. This was pretty neat because it was the exact spot where they had first met! The sky was a deep Carolina blue and really made that gorgeous Wolfpack Red shirt of M stand out as brightly as her smile. Due to an overnight rainstorm everything around us just sparkled in the morning light from the trees to the emerald grass below.
Once the sun had made its march a little further overhead it was time to seek out some shaded areas to capture some sweet moments between the couple. We headed over to M's dorm and found a pretty brick wall that was perfectly lit with ambient light, just steps away from the spot C would sit and wait for M to come down from her room back in their former school years.
Our last photos were taken inside a cupola outside of a classroom on campus. C & M used to meet there between classes and it was the perfect place to wrap up our shoot before the production of next chapter of their story which would be continued a few months later in Elizabethtown NC on their wedding day....
