As the Grandaughter of a US NAVY Commander, there are no words I can find to express my gratitude to all of the wonderful families who came out to lay Christmas wreath's at cemeteries all over the United States to participate in the Wreaths Across America event. I know that somewhere out there, today, someone placed a wreath on my Papa's grave at the Arlington National Cemetery just outside Washington DC. I wish that I could hug whomever this was, thank you.
On this day, every year I donate the photos that I take at the Hillcrest Cemetery for the Cary NC chapter of Wreaths Across America to help them spread awareness for their cause. I hope that the photos that I've captured inspire others to carry on this tradition, to stop and remember those who have served this great nation and share a bit of love and fellowship with their strong families.
